Our formulas (Xiang Fang) follow a sophisticated structure inspired by the organization of an imperial court, known in Ancient Eastern Philosophy as "Jun-Chen-Zuo-Shi" (君臣佐使 - Emperor, Minister, Assistant, Envoy).

• The Emperor (君): The principal ingredient defining the core purpose.

• The Minister (臣): Key ingredients that enhance the Emperor.

Agarwood & Sandalwood These sacred woods form the foundation of nearly all our formulas. Agarwood is revered for its ability to ground the energy (Qi) and support deep focus (静心 Jìngxīn). Sandalwood is known for its warm, creamy aroma and its traditional association with calming the 'Shen' (神 - the spirit/mind) and promoting tranquility.

1. Meng Ling (Dream Spirit)

• Focus: Cultivating Calm and Deep Rest. 

• This formula utilizes botanicals traditionally associated with calming the 'Shen' (神) and fostering an environment conducive to deep tranquility.

• Lavender & Benzoin: Offer immediate comfort with their sweet, calming scents. Benzoin's Chinese name literally means "Resting Scent."

• Jujube Seed: One of the most highly regarded herbs in Eastern Herbal Tradition for its association with nourishing the Heart energy (a concept related to inner peace) and supporting peaceful rest. 

• Poria & Polygala: Often used together in herbal tradition to quiet the mind and support emotional balance.

• Fleeceflower Vine: Traditionally used to soothe the restless mind and support the transition into rest. 

Long Xian Xiang (龙涎香 - Ambergris)

• Focus: Enhancing Clarity and Vitality.

• This imperial formula utilizes ingredients traditionally believed to invigorate and harmonize the movement of Qi (vital energy).

• Ambergris: The rare core ingredient. Prized for its unique, oceanic aroma and historical associations (mentioned in the Ben Cao Gang Mu 《本草纲目》) with invigorating energy.

• Frankincense & Clove: Warming resins and spices traditionally associated with moving Qi and encouraging flow.

• Lysimachia Foenum-graecum: Offers a sweet, awakening herbaceous note that brightens the initial scent profile.

• Spikenard: An ancient herb with an earthy, grounding aroma, traditionally used to stabilize the spirit.

• Supportive Herbs (e.g., Epimedium, Solomon's Seal): Selected for their historical use in supporting inner balance and resilience.

3. Wu Fang (五方 - Five Directions)

• Focus: Holistic Balance and Grounding (The Five Elements).

• Rooted in the Huangdi Neijing (《黄帝内经》), this complex formula blends 28 botanicals to support the harmony of the Five Elements (五行, Wu Xing) within the wearer.

• The Foundation Woods (e.g., Cypress Leaf): Representing stability and growth, providing a grounding aroma.

• The Moving Resins (Frankincense): Associated with transformation and the movement of Qi.

• The Harmonizing Roots (Chinese Liquorice, Costus Root): In Traditional Herbal Wisdom, Liquorice is known as the great "Harmonizer" (使), used to blend all other ingredients. Costus Root is traditionally associated with regulating the flow of Qi. 

• The Balancing Herbs (e.g., Clove, Angelica Dahurica): Carefully selected to ensure synergy across the entire elemental spectrum.

• (The power of Wu Fang lies not in a single ingredient, but in the masterful harmonization of all 28 components.)

4. E Li Zhang Zhong Xiang (鹅梨帐中香 - Quince & Agarwood)

• Focus: Elegance, Tranquility, and Inspiration.

• This formula utilizes a unique ancient processing technique ('Páo Zhì' 炮制) to achieve its sophisticated aroma profile by balancing Yin and Yang energies.

• Xinjiang Quince (榅桲, Wēn Pó): The signature element. We use the prized Quince from the Xinjiang region, known for its robust and complex fragrance. The woods are slowly infused and cured with fresh Quince juice.

• The Yin-Yang Balance: This meticulous process balances the warm energy (Yang) of the Agarwood and Sandalwood with the vibrant, cooling essence (Yin) of the Quince fruit, imparting the signature sophisticated sweetness.
